Relational Skills for the Whole Child

Children and adolescents thrive when they feel seen, connected, and equipped to navigate their inner and outer worlds. These school-based group curricula bring trauma-informed relational development directly into the classroom — building the emotional vocabulary, communication skills, and peer connection that support academic success and long-term wellbeing.

Each curriculum is carefully scaffolded for developmental stage: play-based and concrete for younger learners, discussion-based and peer-focused for adolescents. Both are grounded in Non-Violent Communication principles and delivered in small groups of 8–12 students over 10 weeks.

Our Approach

How these curricula show up for students and schools

🕊️

Trauma-Informed Throughout

Every session is designed with safety, predictability, and choice at the center. Facilitators are trained to recognize trauma responses and respond with care — never pushing, always inviting.

🗣️

Non-Violent Communication

Both curricula are rooted in NVC principles — helping students connect feelings to needs, practice empathic listening, and make requests rather than demands in their daily relationships.

🌱

Developmentally Scaffolded

The elementary curriculum uses play, movement, and concrete activities. The middle school curriculum shifts to peer dialogue, conceptual frameworks, and self-reflection — meeting students exactly where they are.

👥

Small Group Format

Groups of 8–12 students create the intimacy needed for genuine connection and skill practice, while remaining manageable for school-based facilitators.

📚

Ready-to-Facilitate

Facilitator guides include full session scripts, discussion prompts, activity instructions, and adaptations — so any trained school counselor, social worker, or paraprofessional can deliver with confidence.

🌍

Culturally Responsive

Content honors diverse family structures, cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences. Activities are adaptable to reflect the communities your school serves.
